Growing up I probably never described as studious, I do relatively okay in school and I really disliked homework and the idea that we have to memorize information in-order to pass an exam or test. Didn't do well in major exams during my teens and *ended up the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
Managed to entered Republic Polytechnic where showed me a brand new way of learning which I truly enjoy even up till today.
For those of your are not from Singapore, students who entered ITE where usually those who are not doing well in school, ITE were usually frown upon in paper chasing Singapore. ITE provides vocational training for those students. Often Singaporeans jokes about ITE = It's the end.
